DV / CV 371 Silicon Carbide Water Proof Paper

Better

The DV/CV 371 is a silicon carbide sheet on treated wet strength D/C-weight paper with close coat, for wet and dry sanding across a wide range of surfaces — steel, stainless, non-ferrous metals, wood, wall, paint, varnish, and lacquer. Treated wet strength paper is the backing specification for multi-surface applications: it maintains structural integrity in wet sanding conditions where standard paper disintegrates, which is why this sheet covers the full grit range from coarse material removal through to ultra-fine flatting at P1200.

Product Information

Advantage
- Wet strength treatment is the structural reason DV/CV 371 works where standard paper-backed SiC sheets cannot — sustained wet sanding without backing failure is the application requirement it was built for
Features
- Silicon carbide grain on treated wet strength D/C-weight paper with close coat
- Wet strength paper treatment maintains backing integrity in full wet sanding conditions — does not disintegrate under prolonged water or solvent contact
- Wet and dry compatible across P60–P1200 for multi-surface preparation and finishing
Benefits
- Treated wet strength backing survives sustained wet sanding on lacquer and varnish surfaces where standard paper-backed alternatives fail mid-use
- SiC grain cuts consistently across metal, wood, paint, and lacquer substrates — one sheet specification for varied decorative and surface preparation work
- Close coat grain density maximises cutting efficiency on flat surfaces from coarse material removal through to ultra-fine flatting
