VR 587 Zirconia Resin Sander Disc

Good

The VR 587 is a zirconia alumina fiber disc on vulcanised fiber backing with close coat, for heavy material removal, deburring, and edge blending on stainless steel, mild steel, and sheet metal fabrication. Where the VR 589 carries a supersize Top Coat for heat-critical applications, the VR 587 delivers the same self-sharpening zirconia grain performance for operations where surface temperature control is not the primary specification requirement.

Product Information

Features
- Zirconia alumina grain on 0.8/0.85mm vulcanised fiber backing with close coat
- Self-sharpening grain for sustained aggressive cutting on SS, MS, and sheet metal
- Compatible with standard angle grinder backing pads in 4", 4.5", 5", 7"
Benefits
- Self-sharpening zirconia grain maintains aggressive material removal on stainless steel and mild steel through the full disc life
- consistent performance without increasing operator pressure
- Close coat delivers high grain density for fast deburring and edge blending on fabricated components
- Vulcanised fiber backing maintains disc rigidity under the grinding forces of heavy weld removal and edge work
Advantages
- Zirconia alumina's self-sharpening property delivers lower cost per component than standard Aluminum Oxide discs on heavy SS and MS fabrication
- grain efficiency compensates for higher grain cost
